Evolve and End Violence Against Animals

When God created life on earth he had a specific purpose for all living things and he did so to strike a balance in his creation. He wanted a world where harmony and peace prevailed and so he made the food chain which maintains the ecological balance in nature. But the greedy man has recklessly been plundering the natural abode of the animals, killing the in-discriminatory for pleasure, for food, for their skin and fur or even as a sacrifice to the Creator, the God himself.
Slowly and gradually with the passage of time, the man became so ignorant and selfish that they started believing that the planet was made only for him. He started using animals for scientific researches and in cosmetic industries. In a bid to know more and more he carried out experiments on them and treated them as scientific tools.
Cruelty to animals also called as animal abuse or animal neglect is the intentional infliction by humans of suffering or harm upon any non-human animal, regardless of whether the act is against the law. More narrowly, it can be the causing of harm or suffering for specific gain such as slaughtering animals for food.
Everyday in the world animals are beaten, neglected or forced to struggle for survival. They have little hope as they live out their days without the compassion they deserve. Some are found and rescued, given the chance to experience how great life and humans can be. But others aren't so lucky.
Cruelty on animals can be categorized into two types: Passive and Active. Passive cruelty is typified by cases of neglect, in which the cruelty is a lack of action rather than the action itself. Examples of neglect are starvation, dehydration, parasite infestation, allowing a collar to grow into an animal's skin, inadequate shelter in extreme conditions and failure to seek veterinary care when necessary. Active cruelty on the other side is more well-known and disturbing. Sometimes referred to as non-accidental injury. This type of abuse involves purposefully inflicting harm on an animal in order to tame them or gain control, killing and hunting the animals.
Farm animals generally produced in large, industrial facilities that house thousands of animals at high densities suffer both passive as well as active cruelties. Similarly, birds and some animals used to be living in the wilds, are captured just to sell them as pets, where they are kept in cages or in surroundings alien to their natural habitat. People often don't realize that a bird iced to flying freely in the sky cannot be happy in a cage. An animal used to be roaming freely in its natural habitat cannot live happily in a cage or a small enclosure. There is no doubt that a great deal of cruelty to animals is due to our mindset that animals are happy as long as they are well fed, which is not correct. We must imagine ourselves being kept captive and must understand what it really means.
The plight of pets that are kept in houses is also no better. They are orally at our mercy and even if ill-treated they cannot say anything and people are never concerned about their condition. It would not be right to say that all owners are insensitive to their pets but mostly it is noticed that their treatments depend on the mood of the owner. People often hurt these animals without even realizing that they too feel pain.
The life of the animals used in festivals, zoos and circuses are even worse. Some animals are beaten just to tame them to perform some stunts in the zoo. Recently a gorilla named Harambe was shot and killed due to the negligence of a woman in the Cincinnati zoo of US. Some animals used in festivals are often injured and killed in the name of entertainment and tradition.
In many religions animals were worshiped in the past and any cruelty towards them was condemned by the society and so their rights were protected. But today many people don't care about the animal rights. The big question is do animals have a right to live well? Animal activists raise their voice but their voices are too weak to be heard.
There are many easy ways that we can use to minimize the cruelty towards animals. Giving up on meat, using fake leather products as an alternative to original leather products which are made from the skin of innocent animals. Boycotting circuses in which animals are used. On average a non-vegetarian can save up to 100 animals per year if he becomes a vegan. One must avoid buying products which are tested on animals. We must also teach our children and our younger generation how to treat and respect animals. There must also be strong implementation of laws and punish the ones who abuse animals.
The modern methods including sophisticated tests using human cells and tissues which is also known as invitro methods, advanced computer modelling techniques often referred to as insilico methods and studies with human volunteers can also be seen as alternatives to animal testing.
In conclusion, all living things have a right to live on this Earth, but we often become totally insensitive to their pain only because animals can’t talk the language of humans as they don't have a voice. People should be put to a stop who do these crimes to poor innocent animals that don't even know what is going on. Animals also have feelings and emotions just like humans, which means they have rights too. Thus, we need to treat all the animals with compassion and more respect.
